Robert Bakalish

Bob Bakalish was born in Brooklyn, New York, but spent most of his life in Northern California. He currently lives in Oregon. During his various careers and travel, there has been one constant in his life, the desire to write and share his stories. He describes his philosophy of life by quoting the lead character in the classic film Harvey. “In this world, you must be oh so smart, or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. As a young man, Bob wanted to change the world. Now he has learned that "changing the world" is both inevitable and very slow. It is his wish and hope that his newest book, Zero the Hero will initiate small changes to how kids see themselves and those who are different from them.
